Bricolage Basement ϟ DIY Game Controller

beginner to intermediate // build your own computer game controller using up-cycled everyday materials, and some simple arduino code!

parts needed:
1 arduino board *
1 usb cable (arduino board to your computer)
1 computer (any operating system that can run arduino)
8 pcs cut wire or conductive thread (around 4-5 inches long each)
8 pcs conductive material **
1 multimeter (to test for electrical conductivity)
1 hot glue gun & stick ***

* i used a lilypad since it’s what i had lying around, but any other board works
** i used copper tape and conductive thread. examples of other materials you could use: graphite, fruits, vegetables, aluminum foil, bare wire, soda cans
*** this is optional but recommended for beginners, especially when using exposed wire or conductive thread

tip:
testing the conductivity of materials before using or putting them together saves a lot of headache!
